Woodland Assist Global has the ability to match UK employers with professional overseas resources, particularly with overseas nurses.
The new immigration system introduced in Jan 2021 now requires that anyone from the EU, and Rest of the World requiring permission to work in the UK, must apply for a visa. The UK employer MUST also have a sponsor Licence.

Requirements for Overseas Nurses

  • International English Language Test System (IELTS) or Occupational English Test (OET) – you may need to pass one of these tests to satisfy the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) who require a good level of English. There are some countries exempt from this requirement.
  • Test of competence, known as CBT for nurses and midwives trained outside the UK, who wish to come and work in the United Kingdom.
  • Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). On passing this exam the nurse will receive a Personal Registration Number (PIN). The PIN is compulsory for working as a nurse in the UK.

  • We will review your CV – arrange ‘on the ground’ due diligence and character checks – match you with a UK Employer – arrange a virtual interview
  • Based on a good interview – subject to acceptable references and criminal record certificate, a formal offer will be made – legal contract will be signed
  • UK Employer will assign a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS)
  • At this point Woodland Assist Global will start the Visa application process
  • As we approach a date for the nurse / employee to start employment we will work with the UK employer to arrange flights to the UK, and travel to the place of employment or accommodation.
  • Throughout this process we will have a close and regular contact with the overseas nurse / employee
